Our story

What drives us

HaMakor, meaning the source, grew from a simple belief: that how we breathe, sleep, rest the tongue and swallow is the foundation under so much else.

Founded by Lauri Moriah, our practice leads with Oral motor function and Orofacial Myofunctional therapy. At HaMakor, our highly trained team work closely with our clients to ensure optimal muscle function for growth and development throughout the lifespan.

Our practice in Ra'anana

The root cause, not just the symptom

Our specialty is looking at the big picture, finding the root cause and addressing it to ensure optimal outcomes.

Evidence-based

Every plan is grounded in current best practice, not trends or guesswork.

Every age, genuinely

From babies to adults, we work with you, share the why, and keep you in the loop.

The people you'll work with

Qualified, friendly therapists who treat your family like their own.

She trained at the University of Sydney and works across the full picture of how we breathe, sleep, eat and speak.

Speech Pathology, University of Sydney (2012)

Outside the clinic, Lauri loves a good cup of coffee and time outdoors with family.

Qualified Speech & Language Therapist

She believes the best progress happens when therapy feels achievable.

I believe that effective therapy begins with building a strong connection and creating a process tailored to each client's individual needs, so we can move forward together with confidence and experience success along the way. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and supporting them through processes of change, skill development, and establishing new habits. Alongside my work in private practice, I also work at a Child Development Institute, where I support children and their parents in the areas of language, communication, and speech development.

BA, Department of Communication Disorders, Tel Aviv University

I love supporting clients of all ages through change, step by step, and experiencing success together along the way.

[personal note to be confirmed]

Over the years I've gained experience at a child development institute, early-childhood centers, language-focused preschools and a private clinic, and today I also mentor speech-language pathology students in their clinical training. I combine professionalism with a personal connection and a warm, safe atmosphere, tailoring the process to each person, and because I believe parents are part of the process, I include guidance and practical tools for practice at home.

BA in Speech-Language Pathology, Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem

I especially love working with children and getting to see their progress step by step.
